TANIA VÁZQUEZ-SANTOS

Tania Vázquez-Santos holds a BSc in Physical Therapy and a BA in Translation and Interpreting, with a Master in Medical Translation. She combined both fields when she started working as a research support manager at the Health Research Institute where she has developed her career for more than 15 years now. In this period, she worked first as a research assistant in a hospital-based research group and, for the last years, as part of the managing entity of the Institute.

 

TVS has been in charge of developing contents for several websites, writing texts for the dissemination of the researchers’ activities, monitoring scientific production indicators, elaborating biosketches and CVs, performing translations and revisions of specialized texts, bibliographic management and editorial assistance for around 20 scientific papers, designing leaflets, brochures and other promotional materials, and collaborating in the organization of R&D congresses, conferences and sessions, among other tasks. During these years, she has developed her outreach and scientific communication skills.

 

She likes helping biomedical researchers with their scientific production and dissemination of results, both to the research community and the general public. She considers herself a life-long learner, always willing to develop new skills and learn through the interaction with others.
